Trauma-informed Communication & Self-reflection

Bringing back the true meaning of the Temple Arts, where Priest(esse)s are multi-facetted servants of their communities and the Divine

One of DharmaSTARS’ main missions is to bring back the true meaning of the Temple Arts, where Priest(esse)s are multi-facetted servants of their communities and the Divine, each with their own specific skills and gifts to bring through.

TEMPLE ARTS FOUNDATIONAL COURSE

The Temple Arts is a living practice and, in many ways, this course is a journey that draws upon fundamental teachings of sacred lineages through to more esoteric and multidimensional aspects of Ancient Tantra and the Celestial bodies. Grounding us on the path to come into true spirituality.

These teachings draw upon Padma Khandro’s lifetime of frontline work and teaching from all walks of life, such as with indigenous tribes, marginalised groups, ancient knowledge systems and being a practitioner of Kalachakra Tantra – the Tantra of World Peace.

How can we create a new contemporary Priest(ess)hood that honours lineage and transmission knowledge but in a way that is actually relevant to the times we’re in?

SECTION 5: PARTS, IFS & TRAUMA-INFORMED COMMUNICATION AND SELF-REFLECTION

If we want to come into a higher timeline, communication, community and interpersonal interactions are really important. And given the massive task at hand of helping to be part of the change, we do need to become robust in thinking about how we will interact with communities.

As practitioners it’s imperative that we are able to work with our own wounds and not to have them dominating our interactions. Moreover it’s important to hold space for, and understand the afflictions of others in order to compassionately help them move through these. Furthermore, in retreat settings, a lot of time is often wasted through interpersonal triggering events and languishing in stories. How can we as practitioners striving for impeccability step into self-responsibility and also to be able to communicate and hold space effectively?

In this section we will look at:
Moving beyond triggered woundedness;  Basic introduction to IFS and parts work;  Parts Mapping;  Learning how to work with our own and other people’s parts;  IFS/NVC – differences, similarities and limitations;  Duality and parts work – the limitations of IFS;  Moving beyond duality;  The importance of self-responsibility as a practitioner;  The Key of Acknowledgement;  Pristine speech

Format of the Course

Each module is between 2 and 3 hours long. Often there will be a main presentation by Padma Khandro, which will be around 90 min long. There are also subsidiary teachings such as recordings, tutorials and powerpoint presentations by the DharmaSTARS team.

Please note that the main lecture in each section has been specially commissioned for this course, the extra resources are from various other courses or client resource materials.

SACRED ACTIVISM & SKILFUL MEANS

In this session we explore what having an authentic approach to the Temple Arts means.  We look at some astrological insights for 2025 that show a new Venusian gateway for deeper collective authenticity. We also explain how our unique cross-section of teachings from decades of working with indigenous tribes, spiritual leaders and Dharma teachers helps to provide a fresh and much-needed perspective on the Temple Arts which can help us to create conditions for a Golden Age to commence within the next decade.
